Goals:
this week's goal was to continue the rough boarding process for the conference room sequence, in which Sam and the others are pitching their show to Sam and Tony's Mass Comm professor and two local Public Access programming executives.Issues Covered:
Tim and I continued to talk about staging, and adding cut-in and cut-away closeups to break up an otherwise potentially static scene of kids in front of a presentation screen. We also talked about the pitch process and about taking care to not overwhelm the pitch with too many characters, because in either 2D or 3D there are budget considerations (rigs, voice actors, etc). My show has four main protagonists and their guardian angels, and other peripheral characters that show up occasionally, but this is intended to be a 2D program - possibly animated in Flash or something similar, so the 3D rigging issues shouldn't be a concern.Goals for next week:
I will continue boarding this scene for next week, either moving forward to the flashback to the biker bar, or work on the actual beginning of the scene in which Sam and Tony burst through the door just as Maria has promised they will knock the TV executives off their feet ;)Files:
